Understanding Steps in fluXtore #
Steps are integral components within funnels and form the building blocks of the entire funnel structure. Typically, a simple funnel comprises 3 steps: Landing Page, Checkout Page, and Thank You Page. A complete funnel consists of 5 steps: Landing Page, Checkout Page, Upsell, Downsell, and Thank You Page.
Components of Steps #
Each step includes settings and is customizable both in terms of visual appearance and functionality. Steps are connected to each other through dynamic widgets for Elementor and dynamic blocks for Gutenberg, allowing for seamless transitions between steps.
Adding and Deleting Steps #
Steps can be added or removed within a funnel according to the flow requirements. However, it’s essential to note that the basic funnel structure, consisting of Landing Page, Checkout Page, and Thank You Page, must always be present for the funnel to function correctly.
Sequential Order #
The correct sequence of steps is crucial for the proper functioning of the funnel. The mandatory order of steps is as follows:
- Landing Page: This is the initial page where visitors land and are introduced to the funnel.
- Checkout Page: Here, visitors proceed to complete their purchases by entering payment and shipping details.
- Upsell: Offers additional products or upgrades to customers after they’ve completed their initial purchase.
- Downsell: Offers alternative or related products to customers who have declined the upsell offer.
- Thank You Page: This page confirms the successful completion of the purchase and expresses gratitude to the customer.
Product Creation in WooCommerce #
For proper functioning of the Checkout + Order Bumps, Upsell, and Downsell steps, you will need to create the respective products to be sold in WooCommerce and link them accordingly.
By understanding and adhering to these principles, you can effectively design and implement funnels that guide users through a seamless and optimized purchasing journey.
Important Note #
It’s imperative to maintain the correct order of step placement within the funnel. The sequence cannot be altered or modified. For instance, placing an upsell or downsell before the Landing Page or after the Checkout Page is not permissible.
By understanding and adhering to these principles, you can effectively design and implement funnels that guide users through a seamless and optimized purchasing journey.
